Hello Neighbor Clubhouse

a Day of Service project

Through our Day of Service program, we collaborated with Hello Neighbor, a nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh committed to supporting recently resettled refugee families, on a vision for a Clubhouse. The Hello Neighbor Clubhouse will be a community space that will serve not only the refugee families but provide every Pittsburgher with a multi-cultural space for social inclusion.

Ohringer Building

Remaking the Ohringer Furniture Store in Braddock, PA into 37 affordable apartment units for Pittsburgh artists. This beacon will add another highlight to the community’s main street as part of Braddock’s ongoing renaissance.

Originally a furniture store, this re-envisioning captures the building’s rich historical sense through its iconic sign and unique structure while celebrating its resident makers, integrating their artistic work into the interior and exterior elements of the building.

Sandstone Quarry

The first phase of the redevelopment of Allegheny Dwellings makes connections—to the wider community via improved pedestrian connections and use of the surrounding neighborhoods’ vibrant patchwork of color, to its unique quarry history and distinctive site, and within generous shared spaces.
