Katie Johnson
Guided by the concept that nature informs and inspires successful architecture, Katie Johnson believes that the built environment should enhance people’s lives and that good design pushes the boundaries of sustainability to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
Katie learned the value of a collaborative work environment and the importance of on-site experience to understand building details and systems through the architecture program at North Carolina State. While studying in Prague, she participated in a studio focused on how urban design influences public space.
She enjoys exploring other creative mediums such as pottery and weaving and spending her time outdoors to understand better how the built environment is influenced by nature.
Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture.
