Believing the interaction between humanity and the built environment can be a beautiful experience, Carolyn Kerr has a deep appreciation for the way architecture builds communities. She has a heart for increasing awareness of sustainable practices and development in the design and construction world.
Coming from a studio environment at Virginia Tech, Carolyn looks forward to being immersed in a collaborative culture. She has an interest in the interaction between digital and analog tools in the design process.
During her time as a student, she has had the opportunity to study in San Francisco and sketch her way across Europe. While not in class, Carolyn is a member of Virginia Tech’s chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students and volunteers with VT Engage, Habitat for Humanity and Freedom by Design.
Carolyn enjoys photography, sketching and listening to stories in her free time. She looks forward to learning about Pittsburgh and becoming an active member of its running and arts communities.
She will return to Blacksburg in the fall to complete her thesis for the Bachelor of Architecture program.
